Calling all Creative Artists, Filmmakers & Producers, SFF invites film submissions for the 2014 festival, to be held in Shimla, India at YMCA Mutli Purpose Hall at The Ridge on 12-13 April.

SFF Rules and Regulations

• Films that explore the various traditions and cultures of Himachal Pradesh and cherish the human spirit are welcome.
• No restrictions have been laid with regards to genres or style of film, but submitted films must relate to the festival theme.
• All subjects with a creative approach that explore the varied facets of a vibrant hill society in transition.
• We seek inspiring films that promote awareness, are a reflection upon contemporary themes, enlighten the audience, empower the present
  generation,stimulate new debates, discussions and perspectives, and hopefully encourage positive personal and community commitment among the festival
  goers.
• Films will be selected and awarded on the basis of excellence in form and content.
• Only films completed after 1 January 2010 are eligible for submission.
• The filmmaker needs to ensure that the film is an original work and was completed after 1/1/2010 – or the entry or prize will be disqualified and
  barred entry for the next year.
• The filmmaker agrees that the festival organizers have full permission to use the submitted material for publicity and promotion purposes
• Films must be submitted no later than 25th March, 2014. We encourage early submissions.
• Films in a Pen Drive / Memory Cards / DVD / CD / HD DropBox Link will only be selected for reviewing.
• The Pen Drive / Memory Cards / DVD / CD should come with the title of the film and the total running time.
• Plain Pen Drive/Memory Cards / DVD / CD are recommended without any sticker whatsoever.
• Costs of sending Pen Drive / Memory Cards / DVD / CD copies will be borne by the participants themselves.
• After the festival ends, all entries will be kept by the festival organizers to be used in archives.
• All participants would be informed by email / phone the results decided by a jury in the second week of April.
• Entries to the film festival, assumes your acceptance of the rules and regulations.
• Selected film makers would be invited to the fest and only minimum travel expanse from the shortest distance would be paid on producing the
  tickets / valid travel document etc.
