This short film has been inspired by the works of Eve Ensler and the worldwide movement of ‘’One Billion Rising’’. The film has been made and dedicated for the cause of the youth and their empowerment under the mentorship of well-known musician and columnist Nondon Bagchi.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is in adaptation of a short story written by Sujoy Sen and directed by Sujoy Kumar Kar.
The story revolves around a young girl who is a survivor of repeated molestation as a child by someone very close to her. She enters youth with dark memories haunting her and creates a world based on the psychological carcass of others.

 

 

 

 

But in her dreadful world of self-destruction, there were others who had their own demons to fight. In this never ending struggle within, their paths collide, resulting in redemption for most of them. In this walk of their lives, they encounter reality which they could individually relate to such contemporary global movements as “One Billion Rising”.

 

 

 

 

 

And there they were to celebrate the theme of “strike, dance, rise” which provided them with a common ground to work on their strengths and fight together.

 

 

 

 

The music is inspiring and the photography effective. The movie depicts the positive and go get it attitude of Generation X.
